Pet Taxi Terms and Conditions

1) Job will not be executed without the 100% payment

2) Slots will only be reserved when payment is received

3) Non-refundable for any cancellations that are less than 48-hours

4) Payment will be forfeited as cancellation fees.

5) Bookings/orders without payment within 2 hours will be subject to be released to other customer without prior notice.

6) For any damage or “accidents (pee,poo, vomit, etc” to the pet taxi vehicle for pets, is chargeable to the pet owner. This includes scratching, biting car seats and etc.

7) To mitigate above risk, do provide a carrier or contact BarkedClub on the rental fee for carrier. Or owner may ride along. Additional human passengers will be charged RM 30.

8) All stated fees are exclusively for one pet only. Additional RM 20 will be charged for handling additional pets or transporting items up to 5kg. Additional items to be brought along in the trip will be charged at RM 15 per 5 KG.  

9) RM 30 base fee is for trips within Petaling Jaya only and for any locations (regardless of pick up or drop off) outside of Petaling Jaya the RM 40 base fee is applied. For areas that are above 15KM from Glo Damansara, the base fee remains at RM 40 and the fee per KM is RM 5/KM. The formula is per below

RM 40 + (total KM round up from pick up to drop off point) x 3

Within 15KM from Glo Damansara

RM 40 + (total KM round up from pick up to drop off point) x 2.4

15KM-25KM from Glo Damansara

RM 50 + (total KM round up from pick up to drop off point) x 5/km

25KM-40KM from Glo Damansara

RM 60 + (total KM round up from pick up to drop off point) x 5/km

40KM-60KM from Glo Damansara

RM 100 + (total KM round up from pick up to drop off point) x 5/km

10) Any bills will not be assisted to be paid in advance; any delay is accounted in the waiting fees. Bills must be cleared directly with the vet, grooming and etc in advance.

11) Parking fee is excluded from all quote and will be charged in the final bill. Toll is included for trips within PJ and trips within 15 KM of Glo Damansara. Toll is chargeable for trips outside of 15KM from Glo Damansara.

12) All requirements and expectations must be communicated in writing at least 2-hours before the booking starts. However, please be reminded that the pet taxi driver is not accountable for any miscommunication and best to reach out to the relevant parties directly (vet, groomers, etc).

13) For same day booking, 100% payment in advance is required and 15% surcharge may be applied on weekdays and 30% on weekends.

14) Working hours are from 9AM-5PM (Monday-Sat), 15% surcharge may be applied for any jobs outside the stipulated working hours.

15) Once payment is made, booking timings are allowed to be changed based on the Pet Taxi availability. Please inform any changes in timing at least 48-hours before the booking to avoid cancellation fees (payment forfeit) in the event the pet taxi driver is unavailable. Depending on reason, any advance booking that is cancelled in less than 14-days may result in a fee forfeit of as low as 30% to as high as 80% (lower fee forfeit also depends on how early is the notice provided). If converted to credit, it must be used within the same month of the prior booking date.

16) For return trips (within 15 km from Glo Damansara), if include waiting then waiting fees apply and the quote is calculated based on (waiting fee + total KM round up from pick up to drop off point) x 3). For return trip without waiting the total of the base fee and the total KM round up from pick up to drop off point x 2.4 is applied. Return trips for above 15KM from Glo Damansara will be calculated separately. 

17) Please ensure to provide a leash and pet must have a collar on. Pet taxi has a right to reject the job if a collar is not provided. If the leash being used belongs to the pet taxi, please ensure it is returned to the pet taxi. Additional fees may apply for any lost or damages.

18) Ensure to disclose all health and behaviour issues pertaining the pets being transported, if upon arrival, the pet taxi detects an issue with the pet that was not communicated prior, they may reject the job. Especially for distemper, accident or rescue cases. BarkedClub does accept these cases but full disclosure is required  for the pet taxi to prepare accordingly.

19) For condominium pick up, additional charges of RM 30/dog will apply for door-to-door service. Additional items for loading may also be charged at RM 20/5kg.

20) If there is no person or owner at pick up or drop off point, do ensure a clear set of instructions and checklist however Pet Taxi is not accountable for anything missed out and additional fees starting from RM 30 may apply. 

21) Pet Taxi will share photos of the pets that are picked up and brought to their location. Any request for videos and additional images for the purpose of social media posting must be requested in writing beforehand.

*Kindly note that pet taxi may arrive 10-20 mins earlier or 10-20 mins later from the above time* Please put the pick-up time and not appointment time. Any delay or earlier arrival will be communicated by the pet taxi driver.

Vet trips

1) One owner may join to assist pet handling. Additional charges apply for more than one human passengers.

2) Standard fees will still apply for Return trip without pet

3) If owner does not provide carrier or does not wish to rent a carrier, any issues that may arise due to the absence of a carrier is accountable by the owner of the pet.

4) For carriers, owners must advise the pet taxi if carrier is to be left at the vet or returned to the owner (additional charges may apply)

5) Waiting fee will be calculated once the grace period of 15 mins upon arrival at the vet. Waiting fee is only applicable for waiting outside the pet taxi vehicle. If waiting fee is within pet taxi vehicle (40% extra of the waiting fee will be chargeable)

6) It is the full accountability of the owner to set appointment, register their pet, medication and provide details directly to the vet via text message. The pet taxi is not accountable for any miscommunication. The pet taxi will call the owner in the consultation, if owner fails to answer the call, the pet taxi will wait up to 15 mins in consultation and may need to re-enter the appointment. Kindly be mindful of the pick-up time frame to gauge appointment time.

For time efficiency, describe the issue in detail and in writing with timeline before the vet appointment. Example below:

Do mention when you first noticed the symptom and the frequency on a daily or weekly basis

How is their appetite (how many times per day, what is the brand) and excretion (poo and pee normally? How many times?)?

Are they on tick prevention, what tick prevention? (This is if the pet would be boarded)

7) The pet taxi will provide a summary of the diagnosis by the doctor or share a video recording. The owners are still advised to speak to the doctor directly during the consultation. Medication prescriptions will also be shared by the pet taxi, however owners are advised to kindly refer to the vet to validate the instructions.

8) Any request for vet recommendation may be provided by the pet taxi however, any issues pertaining the treatment or doctor is between the owner and the doctor. BarkedClub is not liable for any recommendations made.

The dates in this table are an estimate. We will update this page once the official public holiday dates for 2023 are released.

1) Holiday rates are 30% additional from total booking fee for new customers.

2) Holiday rates are strictly non-refundable and can’t be rescheduled once booking is paid.

3) Barkedclub collaborators and members only need to pay 20% additional from their personalised rate card. It is also strictly non-refundable and can’t be rescheduled once booking is paid.


Grooming Trip

1) One owner may join to assist pet handling. Additional charges apply for more than one human passengers.

2) Standard fees will still apply for Return trip without pet

3) If owner does not provide carrier or does not wish to rent a carrier, any issues that may arise due to the absence of a carrier is accountable by the pet owner.

6) It is the full accountability of the owner to set appointment and provide grooming request and details to the groomer via text message. The pet taxi is not accountable for any miscommunication. All accountability is between owner and groomer. The pet taxi role is purely a transporter.

7) If BarkedClub recommends a groomer, BarkedClub is not accountable for the results of the grooming as that is between the owner and the groomer. BarkedClub is a platform of information for dog owners.

BarkedClub’s pet taxi service number 1 priority is to safely transport your pet from each destination. Anything outside of this is an added service and if BarkedClub does offer any administrative service in booking appointments the fee will start from RM 150 from basic appointment settings to follow ups.
