Pet Sitting Terms and Conditions
Update on 24 Feb 2024: Due to growing demand from existing customers, we are unable to take in new pet sitting clients. This service is currently only available to existing Barkedclub clients. Waitlist is unavailable but you can follow Barkedclubhouse on Instagram for updates on availability
Regulars are clients that have used Barkedclub services actively for 3-months or more. With a cumulative session total of 20 sessions. Regulars are entitled to their own rate cards, some flexibilities and exceptions.
Job Scope
– Photos or videos upon arrival
– Cleaning of pet bathroom area
– Playtime with your pet
– At least 15 mins of dog walking (could be more depending on how many hours taken or if you want to prioritise longer walks)
Rates remain the same regardless of lessen scope of work (feed only or play only). Barkedclub does not provide a clean only service.
Ratio of time spent
For hourly sessions; 15-30 mins walk (depending on your furbaby’s capacity and weather), 10-min feeding and 15-20 mins of accompanying, playing and cleaning.
The Rates
1) Jobs will not be confirmed or executed without 100% upfront payment.
2) Slots will only be reserved when payment is received.
3) Bookings/orders without payment within 1 hour will be subject to be released to other customer without prior notice.
4) All stated fees are exclusively for one pet only. Additional charges are stated in the Rates & Services poster.
5) Medication application and other requirements may be included. If it is deemed a complex request by BarkedClub, a separate quote may be provided.
6) Price does not include assistance to make purchases for the needs of pets. If such services are required, it will be quoted separately.
7) Parking fee is excluded from all quote and will be charged in the final bill.
8) All requirements and expectations must be communicated in writing at least before payment is made. Any add on request may be subject to additional fees as the standard quote only covers feeding (mixing kibbles and wet food at most, playing and walking). Showers are charged at RM 50 per pet and all required tools need to be provided by the pet owner.
9) For any requirements communicated during the booked session, BarkedClub will not be accountable for failure to deliver if any instructions are missed. Kindly ensure to communicate expectations and requirements 24-hours BEFORE the pet sitting session.
10) For same day booking, 100% payment in advance is required.
11) Working hours are from 9AM-5PM from Monday to Saturday, RM 40 surcharge (within Selangor or KL) will be applied for any jobs outside the stipulated working hours.
12) Please inform any changes in timing at least 48-hours before the booking to avoid cancellation fees (payment forfeit) in the event the pet sitter is unavailable.
13) Please ensure all requirements for the pet sitting job including which lights and fans to leave on are communicated in writing before the session. Unless accompanied with video instructions, BarkedClub is not liable for any issues regarding electrical items, furniture etc handling in customer’s home.
14) Ensure to disclose all health and behaviour issues pertaining the pets, if upon arrival, the pet sitter detects an issue with the pet that was not communicated prior, they may reject the job. Especially for distemper, accident or rescue cases. BarkedClub does accept these cases but full disclosure is required for the pet sitter to prepare accordingly.
15) For any confirmed booking, customers also agree to have their pets photos and videos taken for the use of BarkedClub’s social media posting and other relevant marketing materials. All reviews are also published on all social media posts and other relevant marketing materials.
16) If customer request feeding only or walk only or reduces scope of work in any way, the fee is maintained as it is inclusive of transport cost. Each session is up to one hour.

1) Holiday rates are 30% additional from total booking fee for new customers.
2) Holiday rates are strictly non-refundable and can’t be rescheduled once booking is paid.
3) Barkedclub collaborators and members only need to pay 20% additional from their personalised rate card. It is also strictly non-refundable and can’t be rescheduled once booking is paid.
Booking Cancellation Clause
1) Non-refundable for any cancellations that are less than 48-hours.
2) Booking payment will be forfeited as cancellation fees for cancellations that occur less than 48-hours’ notice.
3) For advance booking, cancellations must be informed at least 14-days in advance. Failure to provide cancellation notice within the 14-day notice period will result in 30%-80% deposit forfeit depending on the reason provided and how early was the notice provided. While I understand emergencies occur, as a one-lady show, every slots matter.
4) If discounts are provided, even waiving of additional pet fees, there will be strictly no monetary refunds.
5) Reschedule of booking must be informed at least 3-weeks from the previously confirmed booking dates. If a reschedule is required, you may need to pay an additional 30% as a reschedule fee from total booking cost.
6) For Barkedclub member and collaborator rate cards, the reschedule fee is only 20% from total booking cost.
7) For new customers, Barkedclub member and collaborators, full monetary refund may only be provided if cancellation is made on the same week as the booking was paid. After that, refund may only be provided in credit form and subject to reschedule fee.

Meet and Greet expectations
A meet and greet is where the pet sitter will meet your furkids to align expectations and evaluate if furkids are compatible with the pet sitter. The session is only 30 minutes long and the task will be walking or feeding or playing. Suitable if your pets are wary of strangers or your household requires specific management.
1) Meet and greet is optional. Meet and Greet is charged at 50% of the usual rate for 30 mins. Payment is required via Bank Transfer or E-wallet to confirm the booking.
2) All discussion points in the meet and greet must be recapped in writing by either BarkedClub or pet owner.
2) Meet and Greet must be arranged at least 2-days before the pet sitting slot. In the event that the pet is aggressive towards the BarkedClub’s pet sitter during the Meet and Greet, BarkedClub may consider providing a full refund or transfer of credit. The final decision will be at BarkedClub’s discretion.
3) Unless specifically indicated, BarkedClub will practice caution in handling your pets by their own discretion. Example is socializing your pet with your neighbours pets. BarkedClub will avoid socializing your pets unless explicitly discussed in detail to avoid any risk to your pet.
– During Meet and Greet, please share the:
· Location of all relevant cleaning tools
· Usual walk route
· Dos and Don’ts – Ensure the expectations are mentioned clearly in writing and not in nuanced or implied meaning.
· Any request for electrical item handling
· Feeding measurements and arrangements (please inform of any changes in writing).
· Key arrangement (please inform if keys are to be left where found or BarkedClub will keep the keys till the end of the service). Any grab express or delivery service charges for keys are born by the customer. Keys are only kept for 14-working days from last service date or date the key was provided (whichever earlier) and may be disposed if not collected. Barkedclub will not be following up on key collection if client fails to collect within the 14-day period.
4) Cancellation or any change in timing for meet and greet must be communicated at least 48-hours in advance otherwise the fee is forfeited. In the event the booking is paid and Meet and Greet is cancelled with according to notice period, Barkedclub may offer an alternative time and date based on availability. If notice period is exceeded, Meet and Greet may be forfeited and booking may proceed. Booking cancellation will refer to Cancellation Clause.
5) Please note that if BarkedClub is unable to reach owner to get feedback (10 mins) during the pet sitting session, BarkedClub will decide on behalf of the owner. BarkedClub is not responsible for any outcomes for acting on the owner’s decisions or BarkedClub’s decision if it is out of scope of the agreed tasks.
5) If the walk is unable to take place, please note that it will be automatically replaced with indoor play and no monetary refunds or fee reduction will be provided.
At no given point in time will BarkedClub unleash your pet when outdoors even with your permission as a safety precaution.
6) BarkedClub will prioritize feeding, playtime and walk above cleaning unless otherwise communicated. BarkedClub will not extend the time for the purpose of cleaning unless additional fees are agreed to be born by the pet owner.
7) If for any reason the keys or any issues that may result in cancellation, the forfeit clause will take effect.
8) If your dog does not “go to toilet” during the walk, please advise on how to encourage as Barkedclub will not be held accountable if your dog does not want to “go to toilet” . Please provide advise to encourage your dog to poop during the session.
Waitlisted?
Thank you for patiently waiting and reading this terms and conditions. If you are reading this, it means you’d like to be our regular or use our services but are on the waitlist. Here is our considerations that you can leverage on to come out of the waitlist.
(1) Politeness of client (not the pushy, try to control)
(2) Flexibility – Currently we already have clients filling up morning & evening slots. Hence, priority will be given to clients that need ad hoc assistance in the afternoon.
(3) Does not ask for discount. Discounts are given at the discretion of Barkedclub.
(4) Location – our regulars are currently in DPC, Damansara Heights, Damansara areas. If its ad hoc client, we are able to service outside these areas but for regulars we will prioritise those in these areas.
(5) Can walk your dog no matter rain or shine or not cancelling due to weather conditions. It means that if you say the service will still proceed even though it rains, then likely we will opt you out the waitlist. The reason is because we are juggling multiple clients who have multiple situations that might lead to a cancellation, in order to sustain this as a business, we need to work with clients that has the least probability to cancel.
(5) Weekday request not weekend. We are already fully booked on weekends at the moment so we will prioritise clients for weekday slots.
(6) Service timing is between 12PM-4PM
As this service is currently being provided by one person, we are doing our best to manage to ensure a smooth & uncompromising service to our clients.
Service Level Agreement
1) BarkedClub is fully responsible for fulfilling requirements that have been communicated and agreed before the pet sitting session starts.
2) BarkedClub prioritises the safety of your pets above all else.
3) BarkedClub will provide updates which will include number of bathroom visits and take photos to show the healthy feces (photo provided upon request during pet sitting duration only).
4) BarkedClub will send a message to owner to inform arrival with photo and departure time during each session.
5) If for any reason BarkedClub is unable to deliver a session that was booked, BarkedClub will source for an alternative service provider and cover the full cost. BarkedClub will provide the earliest notice. In the event BarkedClub is unable to provide an alternative service provider, BarkedClub will provide a full refund of the missed session and other compensation as seen fit by BarkedClub.
6) All customers may share BarkedClub’s contact to your neighbours so BarkedClub is contacted in case of emergency to transport your pet to the nearest vet. Emergency surcharge of 30% is waived for customers that are using BarkedClub’s pet sitting service during the duration of the request.
*Kindly note that BarkedClub may arrive 10-20 mins earlier or 10-20 mins later from the agreed time depending on traffic conditions*.
BarkedClub’s service number 1 priority is to keep your pets safe. Anything outside of this is an added service and if BarkedClub does offer any administrative service in booking appointments the fee will start from RM 150 from basic appointment settings to follow ups.
This T&C will be updated as needed. Once booking payment is made, you have agreed to all the terms and condition stated here.
