Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between the pet hotel session and the home session?
The pet hotel session was created for dog owners who are seeking an economical option to achieve their training goals. The pet hotel session will be held at Patty’s Pet Hotel Jalan Ipoh between 9AM-5PM from Tuesdays to Sunday. The Home session means the trainer will come to conduct the training at the comfort of your home and follow your availability. However, this largely depends on the evaluation by the dog trainer during Meet and Greet as the trainer will evaluate which environment would be better based on their behavioural issues and training goal
Why do we need a meet and greet? How much is it?
A meet and greet is fundemental for the dog trainer, dog owner and dog to all be on the same page. First, the dog trainer will assess the dog’s behaviour and body language (at home or at Patty’s Pet Hotel). Second, the dog trainer will evaluate the relationship between the owner and the dog by conducting a few obedience testing. This also helps the trainer assess the techniques applied and if there is any troubleshooting required. These are all essential to create a personalised and effective training plan. Price for meet and greet at home is RM 215 (within 10KM of Pattys Pet Hotel) and RM 150 at Patty’s Pet Hotel.
What is the payment method available?
We are able to accept cash, debit, or credit card which will require you to come to Patty’s Pet Hotel, Jalan Ipoh to make payment. Alternatively, you may make a bank transfer to the bank account stated on the invoice once we have reached out to you. We are unable to provide an installment payment plan and all bookings require upfront payment at least within 3-hours of receiving the invoice.
Why is there a minimum amount of session?
We want to help you get real, lasting change in your dog’s behavior. So, consistency in training is key! More sessions ensure you learn the proper techniques and get personalised guidance to achieve your specific goals, building a strong foundation for long-term success.
If I need to cancel dog training can I transfer credit to boarding or grooming?
Unfortunately we are unable to make dog training credit transfers to other products or services by Barkedclub or Patty’s Pet Hotel. We do understand there are some unexpected situations that can come up. Do discuss with us and give us a heads up so we can share some rescheduling options. Once payment is made for training, we are unable to offer refunds so do be sure you are ready to embark
on this journey!
My dog has separation anxiety, reactivity, barks excessively or is aggressive. How does your trainer help out with that?
Unlike traditional dog training practices, we believe in empowering our furry clients. Most of their behaviour is not intentional or directed towards the owner as a show of stubbornness. It usually comes from a place of fear or confusion. Depending on the case, we may employ the BAT methods (Behaviour adjustment training) to work through these issues while helping you and your dog learn some new skills along the way to strengthen your bond and understanding.
Can I request to have my dog trained at home?
Yes, we currently cover klang valley. Our home session starts from RM 215 for locations that are 15KM from Glo Damansara (trainer’s location).
Can you teach my dog to overcome the fear of thunderstorms?
We are able to provide a consultation and training plan to help you work through and manage your dog’s thunder fear.
Can you train my dog to stop jumping on my guests?
We are able to provide a consultation and training plan to help you redirect your dog’s jumping into more desirable behaviours.
If I don’t have time to train my dog myself after my dog is going training, will the training still work?
Unfortunately, without your cooperation. Even with completing the program , without follow through, your dog will not be able to pick up the training as a habit. If you don’t have time, you can sign up for follow up sessions for us to help.
Can you train my dog to walk on a leash?
If your dog does not have an underlying behaviour issue or it has been addressed, we will be able to focus the training on loose leash training. We don’t focus on heel training but more on loose leash so your dog can still be a dog.
